Grass Roots Soccer Academy prides itself on its focus and commitment to improving the soccer player’s technical ability with an emphasis on individual skill development and small sided play.
GRSA strives to create an intense and competitive working environment for players of all levels and abilities from the ages of 6-18 through positive and repetitive coaching methods. Our goal is to develop creative, confident, and smart soccer players in a fun and safe environment.
Camps and Clinics are focused on improving the soccer player’s individual technique through a variety of technical based exercises which include repetition. It is our belief that through repetition the player enhances and improves their soccer skills. There is an emphasis on “1 player & 1 ball” technical exercises, 1v1 exercises, 2v2 exercises, and small sided games to enhance the player’s ability to pass, dribble, control, and shoot the soccer ball. Through these technical exercises the players will be encouraged and instructed to use both feet and to use different parts of the foot (laces, inside, outside, soul, heel).
Our clinics are unique and focus on the individual due to the small numbers (six players per group). It is our aim to instruct and attend to the players needs whilst executing the technical exercises. With small groups the coaches can give more focus and attention to individuals compared to when they are in teams or on camps with fifteen plus people. We are proud of our clinics and believe there is no other service offered like this in the Chicago area.
GRSA strives to be a leader in forward thinking coaching methods and constantly updates it curriculum in order to offer the best possible experience for their soccer players. It is our aim to be the best technical based soccer experience in Chicago and the Midwest.
